About Crop Decoder

Crop Decoder puts every documented crop circle formation in one place: searchable, mapped and linked back to the people who recorded it.

The database is built by reading the major public archives (Crop Circle Connector, Crop Circle Archives, Temporary Temples, Lucy Pringle, CCRA), taking each formation's date, place, crop, size and photos, and merging the records when several archives describe the same formation. Where an archive gives an Ordnance Survey grid reference, it's converted to GPS so the formation can be mapped and compared with ancient sites.

What the record shows is the factual side. The Pattern Finder is the playful side: an AI looks at the photos you pick, counts their shapes and writes its own interpretation.
